This Privacy Policy explains how Useable LLC ("Cleanr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Cleanr mobile app, the Cleanr web app at app.trycleanr.com, and this website (together, the "Service"). Cleanr is business-management software for cleaning operators.
Who this policy is for
Cleanr is used by cleaning-business owners and their staff ("you"). Owners also enter information about their own customers (the people whose homes or offices they clean) into Cleanr. For that customer information, the cleaning business is the controller of the data and Cleanr acts as a service provider that processes it on the business's behalf.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you create an account or contact support.
- Customer records you enter — names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, gate codes, notes, and service history for the customers your business serves.
- Appointment & job content — schedules, packages, quotes, invoices, time entries, checklists, and before-and-after photos you capture for a session.
- Payment information — when you accept payments through Cleanr Pay, card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically
- Location — with your permission, the app uses precise device location and the addresses you enter to map and order your route, and to record where a session takes place.
- Identifiers & device data — a user ID, and a device push token used to send you notifications.
- Usage & diagnostics — product-interaction and basic diagnostic data (for example, which screens are used and error reports) collected through our analytics provider, PostHog, to keep the app reliable and improve it.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service — scheduling, dispatching staff, managing customers, sending quotes and invoices, and processing payments.
- To send transactional messages (such as invoices, receipts, and notifications) by push, email, or SMS.
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To analyze usage so we can improve features and reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run Cleanr, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Stripe — payment processing (Cleanr Pay).
- Supabase — secure database, authentication, and hosting.
- PostHog — product analytics and error tracking.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- SignalWire / Twilio — SMS delivery.
- Google Maps — mapping and geocoding.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account closure we retain information only as required for legal, tax, accounting, or legitimate business purposes, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation between businesses — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices & rights
- Access & update — you can view and edit most of your information directly in the app.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (see below).
- Permissions — you can turn off location, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings; some features may stop working.
- Regional rights — depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us.
Children
Cleanr is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
International users
Cleanr is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
